I could only attest to one other time I had ever created content for an RPG with this much dedication and that other time was during my D&D 3.5 days and I created a steaming hot mess of a class that took the better part of over a dozen pages. Never again.
Luckily, this round isn’t nearly as vile or horrible. I’ve been going wild with content for A&A, primarily new classes to provide even more interesting options. I will admit that the core concepts I’m using become more complex and messy as I go, but they never become much bigger than classes that already exist.
This latest, the third now, class I present to you is this: the Artificer.
I had really, really gone all out this time. Really. I was thinking about how I want a class with gadgets and tricks and godawful power at their fingertips. I may have gone overboard with the overall power; I may have made a mess of what might’ve or could’ve been simple rules; I may, just may, have made melee classes potentially obsolete. I regret nothing, though. This class is badass and it deserves to exist, as far as I’m concerned.
Boasting and lack of humility aside, I appreciate criticism and thoughts on what I’ve done.
